Casey Mack, a 14-year old eighth grader with IC, had his letter to the President selected for publication in the recently released book Dear President Obama: Letters of Hope from Children Across America. The book is the creation of Bruce Kluger and David Tabatsky, both New York City writers and editors (Parenting magazine, USA Today, National Public Radio, among others). The day after November's election, Tabatsky's daughter gave him a letter to President Obama that she had written. Tabatsky shared the letter with Kluger, and they began to envision compiling a book of letters to the President from children all over America. They sent out an email to close friends and relatives, who then further circulated their email, and within a matter of weeks they received over 1,000 letters and drawings. Of those, they selected 200, and Casey's is one of them.
His letter to President Obama can be viewed on the book's website.
