New on the ICA Website

Rockville, MD (December 1, 2008) -- We are updating the ICA website and recently posted a few new sections, including information about patient assistance programs and related conditions

To read about patients' assistance programs, go to Treatment/Treatment Options/Patient Assistance Programs. A means for giving back to the community, these discount medicine programs are usually designed for low-income individuals and families. Also on this page is information about benefits for seniors and government-sponsored assistance programs.

The new Related Conditions section provides disease information about IC and some of the more common overlapping conditions and also lists contact information for other patient health associations. Go to What is IC/About IC/Related Conditions – and read more about chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic prostatitis, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, pelvic floor dysfunction, temporomandibular joint disorders, and vulvodynia.

The International section has been integrated into other parts of the website. For example, multi-lingual information is now located in the What is IC? section and titled In Other Languages. Links off of this page get you to the list of international organizations, as well as information about support group meetings in other countries. Right below this new page is "En Espanol" which contains Spanish-language information. We hope to continue to build this area to create a hub for Spanish-language information about IC.

Drop us a line to let us know your thoughts about the ICA website. We are looking to continue to expand the information provided and eager to hear your thoughts on potential topics. Please email us with feedback about the site at ICAmail@ichelp.org.
