Founded in 1984, the Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA) is the only not-for-profit association solely dedicated to helping all those living with interstitial cystitis (IC), as well as the healthcare providers and researchers who strive to improve the lives of IC patients.
Without your generous support, this work would not be possible. To make your online contribution process as easy as possible, we offer several options for you to choose from.
By making an unrestricted contribution to the ICA, you are helping the millions of men, women, and children who live each day with this debilitating condition, as well as the healthcare providers and researchers who strive to improve the lives of IC patients.
- Help fund news and information programs. The ICA sent daily email news notices updating you on the latest research findings presented at the AUA. This is one of the many things we do to keep you informed about the current happenings in the field.
- Give to fuel research advocacy efforts. Three to 8 million women in the United States may have IC. Perhaps you wondered, "But what about men with IC?" During the AUA meeting, the ICA met with representatives from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and asked that question.

Joe Daczko, of Mantua, Ohio, modestly refers to himself as a simple guy, just trying to do what he can. Yet he is far from it. His accomplishments are many. A dedicated athlete, Daczko is a consummate marathon runner. He is also the devoted husband of his wife Angi Daczko, who has IC, and together they are enthusiastic advocates for the ICA and all who have IC. Recently, Daczko qualified for the Boston Marathon, and he became a CNN iReporter after the qualifying race -- all in the same day. Read more.

- Support ICA patient advocacy services. A recent note from a patient demonstrated how important these services are to so many. Her email said, "I can't thank you enough. I got a doctor's name from the list you sent, and they just happened to have a cancellation tomorrow . . . I am eternally grateful."
Your generosity allows us to disseminate current information, continue advocacy efforts, provide support, and offer hope to the millions of people with IC, as well as the researchers and healthcare providers who strive to improve their quality of life.
Your donation helps us reach the goal to collect $100,000 to fund research and research-related efforts for the year. Ensuring that interstitial cystitis (IC) research accelerates is the key to a better quality of life for all who suffer from IC, and you can play a significant role.
