There are plenty of ways you can become a part of the ICA’s efforts to help all people with IC:

  • Help Others with IC to Find Knowledgeable Healthcare Providers.  Ask your doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, dietitians, psychologists, and other members of your healthcare team if they are willing to accept patient referrals from the ICA.  Send their name and contact information to the ICA and we’ll invite them to be included in the ICA Healthcare Provider Registry.
  • Raise IC Awareness.  Get the word out about the latest information on IC by distributing ICA Update magazines to local doctor's offices and clinics.  Or, email their contact information to the ICA and we'll send them a special packet of ICA Updates.
  • Participate in Calls to Action.  Included every month in Cafe ICA and every quarter in the ICA Update, calls to action provide a way to get involved in the IC community by becoming a part of the strong and united voice on the needs of people with IC.  By participating in the calls to action, you are advocating on behalf of all people with IC.
  • Fundraise.  Host a fundraising dinner for friends, hold a bake sale, sponsor a collection through a church or other community group, or participate in a local run/walk, and ask friends, neighbors, and colleagues to make contributions to the ICA.
  • Take Part in IC research studies, ICA surveys, and IC clinical trials.  Visit the Clinical Trials section of the ICA’s website to learn how you can participate in IC clinical trials and research studies.  Take part in the numerous online surveys that the ICA is conducting.
  • Feature us on your Facebook page and encourage friends to join the cause.  Support IC Research & Programs (ICA, www.ichelp.org).
  • Shop Online and Make a Difference.  Help people with IC every time you shop online.  Indicate that the Interstitial Cystitis Association is your charity of choice and every purchase you make helps the ICA to "Conquer IC and Change Lives."  Shop at:
  • Surf the Web.  Register with the following search engines and designate the Interstitial Cystitis Association as your charity of choice -- each time you search the web, a donation will be made to the ICA.
  • Spread the Word.  Tell your friends, family, colleagues, loved ones, and healthcare providers about IC.  Direct them to the ICA website and share copies of the ICA Update.
