As ICA Executive Director, Barbara Gordon, MBA, RD, is the chief executive officer of the Interstitial Cystitis Association. She oversees all aspects of the organization and serves as a public spokesperson for people living with IC. Ms. Gordon regularly presents at national and international advocacy and scientific meetings, and serves on national advisory committees.
During her 25-year career, Ms. Gordon has held key senior management positions. As a consultant, she worked closely with the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other federal agencies, and guided healthcare advocacy groups and nonprofit organizations.
Ms. Gordon has degrees in social work and nutrition, an MBA from Johns Hopkins, and postgraduate management training at the Harvard Business School. She is also a Registered Dietitian.
